Weaving Patterns in Cotton

Diamond Twill is created by side-by-side diamonds. Enlarging Diamond Twill creates another version. Diamond Twill can also be woven in two different colours for a very detailed impression. There are different variations of diamond twills: Regular Diamond Twill, Big Diamond Twill (inceased), Large Diamond Twill ( very big size of Diamond Twill and can be bespoke), Dual Diamond Twill ( lines of diamond twill are indicated by one colour and another colour is inside), Soft Dual Diamond Twill (the lines of dual Diamond twill are very soft), Different sizes of Diamond Twill ( different sizes of diamond twill used in a one rug)

Herringbone can be woven vertically or horizontally. The herringbones can be enlarged or decreased creating completely different patterns. We use different variations of Herringbone pattern, like: Horizontal Herringbone (lines of herringbone are horisontal towards the beginning of the rug), Vertical Herringbone ( lines are vertical towards the beginniing of the rug), Vertical Herringbone in small turns ( usually herringbone is woven in turns of 12 sm each, but in this case the turns are only 5-6 sm), ZigZag ( very tight turns), Dual Herringbone ( every second row the colour should be changed)

Single Weave produces the thinnest rugs and is also the pattern long associated with the traditional rag rugs used in summer cottages and kitchens in Sweden. The stripes and effects of single-weave rugs can be endlessly varied. Single Weave and Rose Path can be combined in the same rug. Another beautiful effect is created in Single-weave rugs by replacing some of the vertical yarns with cotton fabric. This produces vertical stripes or checks in the rug.

Double Weave produces the thickest rugs. A double layer of fabric is used, and a pattern is created when the fabric from the different layers cross each other. Double Weave rugs can be chequered, one side, striped.

Draell is a double-weave technique, producing a characteristic long and narrow check or striped pattern with a front and back side. the variations can be: Dual Colour Dreall ( each stripe has its own colour), Multicoloured Dreall, Dreall with horisontal Stripe.

Rosepath is a beautiful, age-old pattern that lends texture and character to a rug. It has a front and a back side. Weaving with two different-coloured fabrics creates a pattern with petals around the heart of a flower – Mixed in close colours.

Ukranian flower is prolonged and enlarged rosepath that looks nice on big size rugs. The colours can be mixed or woven with one dominant colour and another minor colour. Honeycomb pattern has very soft shape and the colours can be mixed and сan be woven with one dominant colour and another minor colour.
