Durability Vandra Rugs
All Vandra rugs are hand woven. Within the EC there are common durability standards for machine woven rugs. (European standards for textile floor coverings – Classification of machine made pile rugs and runners). These standards only apply to machine woven rugs, not hand woven. However, Vandra Rugs has chosen to undertaket these tests at CRET –Centre de Recherches et d’Etudes Techniques du Tapis in order to offer our clients comparable information.
Vandra Rugs Cotton
1) Castor Chair test: Index 2,3. Meets requirement for B –suitable for occasional use. 2) Lisson test –Suitability on stairs : The rug is considered as suitable for class 21 and 22. 3) Vetterman drum test – Assessment of appearane change test according to EN 1471. After 20 000 cycles.– According to EN 14215: table 3 – Classification for use intensity –Class 22 4) Lightfastmness test – on the NF EN ISO 105-B02 scale 1-8 the Vandra Rugs are found between 4-6 depending on colour.

1) Castor Chair test: Index 2,3. After 20 000 cycles.– According to EN 14215: table 3 – Classification for use intensity –Class 22 and INTESIVE USE AND LUXURAY CLASS LC1 4) Lightfastmness test – on the NF EN ISO 105-B02 scale 1-8 the Vandra Rugs are found between 4-6 depending on colour.
Vandra Rugs Carpathian Wool
1) Castor Chair test: Not suitable for castor chair use. 2) Lisson test –Suitability on stairs : Not suitable on stairs 3) Vetterman drum test – Assessment of appearance change test according to EN 1471. After 20 000 cycles.– According to EN 14215: table 3 – Classification for use intensity –Class 21 and HEAVY USE AND LUXURAY CLASS LC1 4) Lightfastness’ test – on the NF EN ISO 105-B02 scale 1-8 the Vandra Rugs Carpathian Collection has level 8 due to its use of non-dyed woolyarn.
